Number types built for different jobs
The right number type affects answer rates, regulatory obligations and cost. Here is what we supply and when each makes sense.
Geographic local numbers
City-level numbers that give customers a familiar dialling code. The single highest-impact change most companies make to inbound answer rates in a new market.
National and non-geographic
Country-wide numbers unbound from a city, ideal when you want one national line rather than a presence in a specific town.
Toll-free numbers
Free-to-caller ranges across North America, Europe and APAC — the expected standard for consumer support lines and warranty desks.
SMS-enabled DIDs
Numbers that receive and send text as well as voice, so support conversations can move between channels without changing the number customers know.
Mobile-range DIDs
Mobile-prefix numbers in markets where consumers ignore landline calls — significantly better connect rates for field, delivery and dispatch operations.
Bulk and API provisioning
Search, reserve, purchase and route thousands of numbers programmatically, with a Terraform provider for teams that manage infrastructure as code.
Numbers are a growth lever, not a line item
A prospect in Munich is measurably more likely to answer a +49 89 number than an international string, and measurably more likely to call a local number back. Multiplied across a sales or support operation, local presence changes pipeline economics.
- Enter a new market without registering an entity or opening an office
- Increase inbound answer rates by presenting a familiar local dialling code
- Route any number to any endpoint — SIP, PBX, contact centre, mobile or IVR
- Track campaign performance by assigning dedicated DIDs to channels and creatives
- Consolidate numbers acquired from a dozen regional carriers into one portal and one invoice
Same-day activation
Standard DIDs in most markets activate within 24 hours of order.
Compliance handled
We tell you exactly which documents each regulator requires, upfront.
Route anywhere
Point any DID at SIP, PSTN, a mobile, or an API endpoint and change it instantly.
Full API control
Search, buy and reroute numbers programmatically with sub-second propagation.
From search to first inbound call
Straightforward in most markets; we manage the paperwork in the ones that are not.
Search availability
Filter by country, city, prefix, SMS capability and range size in the portal or through the API. Availability shown is live inventory, not an indicative list.
Confirm requirements
Some regulators require proof of local address, business registration or an end-user declaration. We show the exact requirement before you order, never after.
Provision and route
Numbers activate to your nominated SIP endpoint, trunk or PBX. Routing changes take effect in under a second, with failover destinations per number.
Manage at scale
Bulk tag, group and reroute numbers, monitor per-DID call volumes and set individual spend alerts across your entire estate.

DID number questions, answered plainly
Still unsure? Our voice architects answer technical questions directly — no gatekeeping through sales.
It depends entirely on the country. Roughly half of the markets we cover have no local presence requirement at all. Others — Germany, Spain and much of the Gulf, for example — require proof of a local address, a business registration document or an end-user declaration before the regulator will permit assignment.
Our portal shows the exact requirement next to each country before you order, and our provisioning team will tell you honestly if a market is not viable for your situation rather than taking the order and stalling.
Standard geographic numbers in most Western markets activate within 24 hours, and frequently within a couple of hours. Toll-free ranges typically take one to three business days.
Markets with documentation requirements depend on how quickly you can supply the paperwork — once documents are verified, activation follows the same timeline.
Yes, in every market that supports number portability. Porting standard geographic and toll-free ranges is included at no charge; a small number of countries impose a regulator fee we pass through at cost.
We run ports in scheduled batches with the new routing tested in advance, so a delay on one number does not hold up the rest of the project.
In supported markets, yes. US, Canadian, UK and Australian numbers can be provisioned SMS-enabled, and inbound messages are delivered to your webhook or platform alongside voice.
Outbound A2P messaging on those numbers requires registration — 10DLC in the US, for instance — which our messaging team handles as part of onboarding. See our SMS Solutions page for the detail.
They are yours. We will support an outbound port to any carrier, and we do not impose exit fees, artificial delays or retention hoops on the process.
Enterprise contracts state the portability commitment explicitly, including maximum response times for port-out requests.
Yes. Routing is entirely independent of the number's country. A Singapore DID can ring a queue in Manila, a softphone in London and a mobile in Sydney, in sequence or simultaneously.
You can also apply time-of-day rules so a single published number follows the sun across regional support teams.
